Appointment Policy
Late Arrival/No-Show Policy
At Jersey Village Animal Hospital, our goal is to provide quality individualized medical care in a timely manner. No-shows and late arrivals inconvenience those clients and their pets who are in need of veterinary care. We are having to implement a “No-Show” and Late Arrival Policy due to these overwhelming occurrences.
Cancellation of an appointment
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other pets, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for any appointment. This time will be reallocated to a pet who is in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient to receive timely veterinary care.
If you don’t reach a receptionist, you may leave a detailed message on our voice mail. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please leave your name and phone number. We will return your call promptly
Late Arrival
Arrivals of 10 or more minutes late after your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late to your appointment the receptionist will see if we are still able to see your pet that day. If we are not, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment. Be mindful that our appointments are scheduled right after one another and because of this the doctor may not have time to give your pet the full exam and care it needs before the next appointment arrives.
Appointment “No Show” Policy
A “no-show” is a client who misses an appointment without canceling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the client’s chart as a “no-show”.
The first time there is a “no-show” there will be no charge to the client. A 2nd occurrence will result in you being charged a $50.00 No-Show Fee. Payment will be required before being able to schedule future appointments. Three or more no-shows may result in the loss of in-person appointment privileges. Drop-offs would be required to be seen.
Surgery Appointment No-Show Policy
If you are needing to cancel your pet’s anesthetic/surgical procedure it is required to cancel/reschedule your appointment within 24 hours’ notice of your appointment time (example-if you are scheduled to be here between 8:00am-8:30am you would need to let us know before 12:00 pm the day before).
The first time this occurs we will call to offer to reschedule the appointment. A 2nd occurrence will result in you being charged a missed surgery fee of $100, before being able to schedule future anesthetic/surgical procedures. If there is a 3rd occurrence you may be discharged from the practice.
We have implemented these policies to respect your time and ours. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Thank you,
The team at JVAH
