Veronica Vanderzwet, Hospital Director

Veronica was born and raised in Parma, Ohio and moved to Katy, Texas in the summer of 2012. Over the last 11 years, she has managed both Emergency and General Practices of all sizes, recently joining JVAH in December 2023.

Being an animal-lover since a young age, the Human-Animal-Bond has been a passion of Veronica’s. She loves leading initiatives such as Fear Free Handling and Cat Friendly Standards, to help pets and pet parents feel less stress and anxiety coming in for visits. Her goal is truly “treat every pet as if it were her own”.

Outside of work, Veronica enjoys spending time with her husband (Robert), 2 dogs (Pistol & Pete) and 3 cats (Lucy, Bug, & Birdie). She also likes to spend her spare time watching horror movies, reading, online shopping, and preparing for their first (human) baby, due in December!
